Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our property management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on property leasing, tenant relations, and administrative support within the real estate industry. Experience with LIHTC, Section 8, or property management software such as Yardi and OneSite is highly desirable. The Leasing Agent will play a key role in maintaining positive relationships with prospective and current tenants while ensuring all leasing processes adhere to Fair Housing regulations and legal standards. Duties Greet prospective tenants and conduct property tours, showcasing available units and amenities. Manage leasing applications, verify tenant information, and process lease agreements efficiently. Maintain accurate records of leasing activities through data entry, filing, and property management systems such as Yardi or OneSite. Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant laws, and Section 8 regulations during all leasing transactions. Handle inquiries via phone and email with professional phone etiquette, providing detailed information about properties and leasing options. Negotiate lease terms and contracts to align with company policies while maximizing occupancy rates through upselling additional services or amenities. Coordinate with property maintenance teams to ensure units are ready for occupancy and address any tenant concerns promptly. Assist in marketing efforts by engaging in sales activities, conflict management, and customer relationship management to attract prospective tenants. Support administrative functions including filing, data entry, contract management, and facilities management tasks as needed. Stay informed about local real estate market trends, legal updates related to landlord-tenant law, and regulatory changes affecting property leasing. Skills Strong knowledge of LIHTC, Section 8 housing programs, Fair Housing regulations, and landlord-tenant law. Proficiency with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflicts professionally and effectively. Demonstrated experience in property leasing, real estate administrative tasks, and office experience. Effective negotiation skills coupled with the ability to handle contracts confidently. Familiarity with legal administrative procedures related to leases and contracts. Strong organizational skills including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records. Exceptional communication skills including phone etiquette and customer relationship management expertise. Ability to work independently or as part of a team within a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of facilities management principles related to property maintenance is a plus. Up to $18.00 per hour
