The position combines traditional real estate sales responsibilities with structured training and experience in residential appraisal, creating an opportunity for dual income streams and long-term career growth. The ideal candidate is driven, organized, and interested in developing expertise in both real estate transactions and property valuation. Responsibilities Real Estate Sales Generate and manage buyer and seller leads Conduct listing appointments and secure new listings Assist buyers with home searches, showings, and contract negotiations Manage transactions from contract to closing Maintain consistent communication with clients and prospects Participate in marketing efforts including open houses, social media, and networking Meet or exceed established sales goals and production benchmarks Appraiser Trainee Assist supervising appraiser with residential property inspections Collect and analyze property data, including comparable sales Support the preparation of appraisal reports in compliance with USPAP standards Complete required trainee hours under supervision Maintain accurate logs of appraisal experience hours Learn valuation methods, market analysis, and reporting standards Adhere to all state licensing requirements and timelines Qualifications Active Illinois Real Estate Broker License (required) Obtaining Illinois Appraiser Trainee License (or already enrolled) Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent communication and time management abilities Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines Self-motivated with a strong work ethic Reliable transportation for property visits and showings Compensation Structure Commission-based income from real estate sales Appraisal income based on a split structure Opportunity to build two complementary income streams over time Training and Support Access to brokerage marketing systems Hands-on appraisal training with a licensed supervising appraiser Administrative and operational support A full package is available for the sales side and will be discussed in person Schedule Expectations Full-time commitment required Flexible schedule Daytime availability for appraisal inspections and report work Growth Opportunity This position offers a long-term career path in both real estate sales and appraisal.
