Summary of Position:
The Senior Tax Associate- Trusts/Estates
- will play a key role in our Trust & Estate practice, supporting high-net-worth individuals and families.
Essential Functions:
Prepare complex trust, estate, fiduciary tax returns within minimal supervision. Assist with estate and trust planning strategies Research complex trust and estate tax issues and apply findings to client situations to ensure accuracy/implementation of specific tax law Work directly with high-net-worth individuals, family groups, advisors on trust and estate matters Support preparation of individual tax returns and, to a lesser extent, corporate, partnership Analyze financial statements and records to identify planning opportunities and reduce tax exposure Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery Communicate proactive with clients regarding project status, documentation requests, and planning considerations Collaborate with internal teams and leadership on client service strategy and engagement planning Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or Master's degree in accounting or taxation or related field Minimum 5 year's accounting and tax experience with a focus and exposure to trusts and estates Exp. with a variety of income tax filings; e.g. trust, individual required; S-Corp/Partnership a plus Understanding of and sensitivity to confidential information Ability to meet time constraints and client deadlines Ability to work overtime from January- April 15 (may be in excess of 55 hours per week).
