Job Description

Associate Attorney - Estate Planning Stratton & Reynolds, LLC Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time $75,000 - $90,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Estate planning advisory services Probate process support Will preparation Bar Legal client intake Full Job Description We're looking for an attorney who genuinely enjoys helping clients accomplish their goals but who's tired of feeling like every hour of the day has to be chased, tracked, and justified. No timesheets. No billable hour quotas. No litigation. No pressure to bring in your own clients. Just sit down with people who need wills, trusts, and powers of attorney done right, draft the documents, walk them through it, and get it signed. If you've ever sat at your desk on a Sunday calculating whether you hit your number for the month, this is the opposite of that job.
The work itself:
You'll draft and review estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, healthcare and financial powers of attorney. You will also handle client meetings from intake through signing. The clients are already coming to us. You don't need to find them, bill them by the tenth of an hour, or argue their case in front of a judge. You need to know estate planning, communicate clearly, and care about getting the details right. We have several offices, all within about an hour of each other, so some travel between locations during the week should be expected. On days without client meetings, there's flexibility to work remotely. Most weeks run 40-45 hours, and nights and weekends are yours. We don't expect attorneys here to be available around the clock.
What we need from you:
Licensed with the South Carolina Bar (this one's non-negotiable) A genuine interest in estate planning and probate work — prior experience is great, but we're more interested in attorneys who are willing to learn What you get: Health insurance 401(k) with company match Bonus opportunities that are actually meaningful, not a token gesture A predictable schedule, with nights and weekends off-limits for client work
Salary:
$75,000 to $90,000 per year plus bonus opportunities Sound like you? We'd love to hear from you. Apply here and email
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
Benefits:
401(k) Health insurance Paid time off
