Leasing Agent - Lamoille County

Thank you for your interest in joining our team! We are currently looking for a Lamoille County Leasing Agent to join our team! This position is responsible for marketing and leasing affordable multifamily rental homes to income-qualified households, managing applicant waitlists, conducting eligibility screenings and income certifications in accordance with LIHTC and other program requirements, preparing and executing leases, and ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations. Key Responsibilities Market and advertise affordable multifamily rental homes in alignment with Fair Housing requirements and the organization's Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan Respond promptly to phone, email, and in-person inquiries; provide clear and accurate information about eligibility, rents, and the application process Process applications, conduct income and asset verifications, and complete eligibility determinations in compliance with LIHTC and other funding requirements Prepare lease documents and coordinate lease signings and move-ins Ensure all applicant and resident files are complete, organized, and audit-ready Track unit availability and coordinate closely with property management and maintenance staff to minimize vacancy loss Maintain accurate data in property management software, including prospect activity, application status, certifications, and move-ins Monitor and report on leasing metrics including traffic, conversion rates, and days vacant Participate in team meetings, staff meetings, and Downstreet team events. Experience and Education Bachelor's degree, or two years of college and two years of customer service or social service experience, or an equivalent combination of education, employment, and life experience Competent in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn relevant property management and other Downstreet software Ability to independently manage priorities and deadlines and ability to manage confidential information Strong written and verbal communication skills, active listening skills and problem-solving abilities Commitment to equity and inclusion and social and economic justice Valid Vermont Driver's License, personal vehicle, and ability to travel between housing sites Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working at a computer Ability to inspect properties including basements and living units with stairs Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time Compensation This is a full-time position.

Salary:

$50,000 annually.
