Job Description

Our client, a reputable provider of a wide range of insurance products, is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial sales professional to join their team as a Personal & Commercial Insurance Producer. This role is ideal for someone with expertise in both personal and commercial lines, particularly in specialized areas such as marine and equine insurance, although experience in these areas is not a strict requirement. In this position, you will manage a diverse portfolio that includes mortality coverage for horses associated with farms, training, and boarding operations, as well as marine insurance for Alaska fishing boats and charter vessels—both of which are significant components of our client's business. Additionally, you will handle a variety of personal insurance products, including home, auto, and yacht policies. Success in this role requires a proactive approach to sales, including cold calling, generating leads, cross-selling to existing clients, and tapping into cold leads to grow your client base. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, motivated to run their own business within the organization. You will have the autonomy to build and manage your book of business, taking full ownership of your client relationships and sales strategies. Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of insurance products, including marine, equine, personal, and commercial lines. Develop new business opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calling and lead generation. Cross-sell insurance products to existing clients to meet their comprehensive insurance needs. Handle specialized insurance coverage, including mortality coverage for horses and marine insurance for Alaska fishing boats and charter vessels. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored insurance solutions. Take full ownership of your book of business, including client relationship management and sales strategies. Qualifications Experience in selling personal and commercial lines of insurance, with a focus on marine and equine sectors being a significant advantage. Entrepreneurial spirit, with the motivation to build and manage your own book of business. Strong sales skills, including the ability to generate leads, cold call, and cross-sell to clients. Deep industry involvement and a niche understanding of client pain points, particularly in marine and equine sectors, are highly desirable. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently and thrive in a self-directed, results-oriented environment.
