- Full-time Overview Ivy Legal, LLC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Associate Attorney specializing in Real Estate law.
This position is ideal for an attorney who values direct client interaction, practical problem solving, and the opportunity to help build and grow a sophisticated real estate practice. The Associate Attorney will assist with a wide range of residential and commercial real estate matters, including transactions, title review, contract drafting, business entity matters related to real estate ownership, landlord-tenant matters, and related legal issues.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to real estate transactions and land use issues using tools like LexisNexis Draft, review, and negotiate real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and title documents with precision and clarity Assist in due diligence processes including title searches, zoning compliance checks, environmental assessments, and review of land use permits Prepare legal motions, pleadings, and memoranda for litigation or transactional matters related to real estate disputes Support negotiations between parties by providing strategic legal advice and drafting settlement agreements
Required:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Wisconsin and good standing with the State Bar of Wisconsin. Minimum of one (1) year of experience practicing law as a licensed attorney. Strong legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills. Excellent organizational and client communication abilities. Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple matters simultaneously.
Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the position. Associate Attorneys are expected to maintain a minimum of 115 billable hours per month . In addition to base compensation, the Ivy Legal offers a performance-based bonus program for attorneys who exceed the minimum billable hours in a calendar month. Bonus eligibility and amounts will be determined pursuant to the firm's compensation policies in effect at the time and may consider factors including billable hours, collections, work quality, client service, and compliance with Firm policies and professional obligations. This is not a large-firm role. The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys taking initiative, building client relationships, participating in business development, and helping shape the future direction of a growing law practice.
