Returns Specialist GigaParts - 3.3 Huntsville, AL Job Details Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Employee discount Life insurance Qualifications Computer operation Inventory management Computer literacy Process improvement High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Organizational skills Productivity software Full Job Description The Returns Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of returned merchandise, including customer returns, manufacturer/vendor repairs, Open Box conversions, and shipping claims. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy, minimizing operational backlog, and ensuring returned products are properly documented and routed to the correct next step. Core Responsibilities
  • Process customer returns and manufacturer/vendor repair returns accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspect, document, and process returned merchandise.
  • Coordinate with the Tech Room when product testing or evaluation is required.
  • Determine appropriate disposition of returned items, including: o Return to sellable inventory. o Open Box conversion. o Manufacturer/vendor repair or credit.
  • Review RMAs and Return Cases to ensure returns are progressing appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate inventory locations and inventory movement throughout the returns process.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation and notes related to returns activity.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Accounting, and other departments regarding return status and issue resolution.
  • Maintain clean and organized Returns, Open Box, and RMA work areas.
  • Assist in identifying process improvements related to returns processing and shipping claims.
  • Review and process shipping damage and shipping loss claims.
  • Gather required documentation and supporting information for claims.
  • Submit claims through carrier websites and systems.
  • Monitor and follow up on claim status until resolution.
  • Maintain organized claim records and documentation.
  • Communicate claim updates and resolutions to appropriate departments. Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Physical Requirements
  • Stand and move for extended periods.
  • Lift 25 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb ladders as required.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
