We're proud to have supplied equipment to major movies & television shows. The sales department includes a well-stocked lighting expendables & grip equipment store and offers sales and project management on permanent install solutions for studios and theatres, including grids, curtains, and lighting fixtures. Our staff hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5pm. This is not a remote position. For success in this position, you must:
- Have experience with film lighting & grip equipment, ideally at least 2-3 years field experience. Event and/or theatre electrician experience will also be considered.
- Have at least 1 year of sales experience in a customer-facing position that included quoting and invoicing.
- Be able to multi-task, you will be juggling many different unique rental quotes at once
- Keep up in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Have strong customer service skills
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with the rentals team A day in the life of a rental agent includes:
- Communicating with customers via phone & email
- Creating rental quotes based on customer's needs
- Working with customer for any changes and revisions to the quote
- Understanding the rental inventory to offer any substitutions if requested item is not available
- Working with outside vendors to procure any sub-rented items for the customer's order and creating purchase orders.
- Keeping track of inventory counts and communicating with other rentals agents regarding inventory needs.
- Working with customer to obtain their certificate of Insurance and confirming that it includes all the necessary requirements
- Finalizing quote into a contract and collecting payment from customer
- Creating pull sheets for the shop so the staff can prep & pull the rental order in a timely manner
- Communicating with the shop supervisor about any last-minute order revisions.
- Creating return sheets for the shop for when the order returns
- Working with the customer and their insurance companies for any lost or damaged items.
- Invoicing the order upon return.
- Juggling multiple customers at the same time and working through each of the above outlined steps simultaneously (for example, starting a new quote for one customer, while finalizing a different quote for a second customer and invoicing a third customer) Benefits include:
