POSITION SUMMARY
Juniper Holiday + Home is seeking a dedicated Guest and Operations Gatekeeper to serve as the guardian of our guest experience and property standards in Stevensville, MI. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining order, ensuring every detail is perfect, and creating a secure, welcoming environment for our guests. You'll be the eyes and ears of our properties, conducting thorough inspections, managing access control, and responding to guest needs with professionalism and care. RESPONSIBILITIES
Access Control & Compliance Parking Management:
Verify guest vehicle information and physically place/monitor parking placards to ensure only authorized vehicles are on-site.
Amenity Security:
Distribute and monitor property-specific wristbands to maintain safety and exclusivity for registered guests.
Enforcement:
Politely address and resolve unauthorized parking or amenity use in accordance with property policies.
Guest Welcome & Experience Welcome Kits:
Prepare and deliver welcome kits, ensuring they are stocked with essentials, local guides, and arrival gifts.
First Impressions:
Offer a professional and welcoming demeanor.
Property Quality Assurance Pre-Stay Inspections:
Conduct rigorous walk-throughs of units before guest arrival. Check for cleanliness, functional appliances, and "staged" presentation.
Inventory Checks:
Ensure all advertised amenities (linens, kitchenware, tech) are present and in working order.
Guest Response & Support Reactive Service:
Respond promptly to guest requests or issues (e.g., delivering extra towels, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, or clarifying house rules).
Communication:
Maintain clear, real-time communication with the management team regarding maintenance needs or guest feedback. Participate in any necessary trainings Maintain a safe and clean work environment to ensure all policies are followed and enforced for outside agencies; including but not limited to DOL, EEOC, and OSHA. Working Conditions and Environment / Physical Demands This position requires significant time spent outdoors and moving between units. Weekend and holiday availability is required, as these are peak guest turnover and activity periods. Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 20 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and empathetic when addressing guest needs or enforcing rules.
Self-Starter:
Much of this role involves independent rounds; you must be disciplined and efficient with your time.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to walk the property frequently, climb stairs, and work in various weather conditions.
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable using mobile apps for inspection checklists and guest communication.
