Job Description

Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rental Yard Associate to maintain the organization and cleanliness of our rental equipment yard. In this role, you will ensure that all machinery is in proper working order, assist customers with loading and unloading, and provide basic operational guidance—all while upholding high standards for safety and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Yard Organization:
Ensure that all rental equipment is clean, well-maintained, and fully operational before leaving the yard. Perform basic maintenance tasks on equipment, including checking oil, filters, and greasing components. Operate a variety of construction and rental equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain the organization and proper storage of rental equipment throughout the yard.
Customer Assistance & Documentation:
Assist customers with loading, unloading, and securing rental equipment. Verify that equipment is fully operational prior to customer pickup. Capture photographic documentation of rental equipment before it leaves with the customer. Provide basic operational instructions to customers regarding equipment use.
Inspection & Reporting:
Conduct thorough inspections of returned equipment, checking for signs of damage or misuse. Complete and submit all necessary paperwork to the counter in a timely manner. Communicate any equipment issues promptly to counter staff, mechanics, and management.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions, including heavy rain, wind, and high temperatures. Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching. Ability to follow all company safety rules and regulations. Basic proficiency in using a computer for documentation purposes. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
