Position Summary The Service Cashier / Rental Coordinator is responsible for accurately processing service and parts transactions while providing outstanding customer service. This position also manages the dealership's rental vehicle program, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for customers who need alternate transportation while their vehicle is being serviced. This role supports both the Service and Parts departments and plays a key part in creating an exceptional customer experience. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner Process cash, check, and credit card payments; issue receipts and refunds Operate and balance the cash register daily Close repair orders and maintain accurate transaction records Coordinate rental vehicle reservations, check-outs, and returns Verify rental agreements, driver's licenses, insurance information, and vehicle condition Maintain rental fleet schedules and communicate vehicle availability with Service Advisors Assist customers with rental questions and explain rental policies Direct customer questions to the appropriate Service Advisor as needed Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate Provide phone coverage and clerical support for the Service and Parts departments Maintain a clean, organized work area and professional appearance Qualifications Previous customer service, cashiering, or administrative experience preferred Experience coordinating rentals or scheduling is a plus, but not required Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software What We Offer Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off & Up to 3 Weeks of Paid Vacation Paid Training & Career Growth Opportunities Employee Vehicle Purchase Program Health & Wellness Programs Employee Discounts Referral Bonuses up to $3,250 We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
