Onshore Storage SME (Consultant) Location(s): Chicago, IL (Remote)
Work Authorization:
U.S. Citizen only (ITAR requirement).
Position Summary:
Seeking an experienced Storage SME to provide advanced administration, support, and optimization of enterprise storage environments. The consultant will focus on NetApp storage technologies, multi-vendor storage platforms, authentication services, and ITIL-based service management in a high-availability infrastructure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Storage & Infrastructure Administer and support NetApp FAS and ONTAP environments. Manage NAS and SAN storage architectures. Support EMC storage platforms. Perform storage provisioning, zoning, replication, capacity planning, backup integration, and disaster recovery activities. Monitor storage performance using NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM). Troubleshoot and optimize storage performance. Identity & Authentication Configure and support Kerberos and LDAP authentication. Integrate storage and infrastructure systems with directory services. IT Service Management Support Incident and Problem Management processes. Utilize ServiceNow for ticket management and reporting. Maintain system, change, and incident documentation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of infrastructure and storage administration experience. Strong experience with: NetApp ONTAP NetApp FAS NetApp Active IQ Unified Manager (AIQUM) SAN/NAS storage environments Windows Server administration Red Hat Linux administration EMC storage systems PowerShell scripting Preferred Qualifications ServiceNow ITSM experience. ITIL process knowledge. Kerberos and LDAP experience. Relevant certifications such as: NetApp Certified Professional (NCDA/NCIE) Microsoft certifications RHCE Key Skills Storage administration and optimization. Performance monitoring and analytics. Root cause analysis and troubleshooting. Multi-platform infrastructure support. Technical documentation. Enterprise storage management. Disaster recovery and replication. Work Environment Remote enterprise infrastructure environment. Participation in on-call support rotation. Ideal Candidate A senior storage administrator with strong NetApp expertise, AIQUM monitoring experience, SAN/NAS administration skills, Windows/Linux support experience, and the ability to maintain highly available enterprise storage environments.
