Special Event & Rental Coordinator Virginia Museum of Transportation - 1.0 Roanoke, VA Job Details Full-time From $20 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Event planning Research Customer relationship management Organizational skills Events management Event marketing Full Job Description Full-time, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with some evenings and weekends to work events and rentals. Recruit and coordinate vendors. Prepare event and rental layouts, assignments and work orders. Research and book entertainment. Plan activities for events. Secure food trucks for events. Coordinate volunteer efforts. Seek event sponsorships and partnerships from area businesses. Post events to community calendars. Distribute fliers to area businesses. Create event signage. Plan, set-up, clean up and work all special events. Communicate and plan rental events with customers. Work with rental clients and create facility rental agreements. Collect deposits and payments for facility rentals. Schedule adult group visits (senior's groups, etc.) Responsible for event supply inventory. Work off-site events in which the museum participates.
