Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Cashier/Sales Associate to join our team at DropZone Mini Mart. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic retail environment, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and can efficiently handle transactions and daily store operations. As the face of our store, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, assisting customers, maintaining clean and organized facilities—including restrooms—and supporting the overall success of the store. Key Duties and Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, helpful shopping experience Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process cash, card, and mobile transactions accurately and efficiently Answer customer inquiries and assist with product selection to ensure satisfaction Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience and increase sales Stock shelves, organize displays, and maintain attractive product presentation Monitor inventory and assist with restocking to maintain consistent availability Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire store, including checkout counters, shelves, floors, and restrooms Handle cash responsibly, following all safety and loss-prevention procedures Assist with training new staff as needed Demonstrate product knowledge during customer interactions and promotions Support opening and closing duties to ensure smooth daily operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous experience in retail, grocery, or cashiering is a plus but not required Familiarity with POS systems is helpful Strong communication and customer service skills Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail calculations Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs Dependable, punctual, and a team player Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base Supervisory or leadership experience is a plus for candidates looking to grow into leadership roles
