Caperton's Guns-Ammo-Knives is hiring! Caperton's is a high-volume gun store with a high-paced environment with events, great pricing, and promotions weekly. Experience in Firearms, Optics, Suppressors, Knives, and other firearm related areas is a must for this job. Join our dynamic team as a Sales Associate and become the driving force behind delivering exceptional customer experiences and boosting sales! In this energetic role, you'll engage with customers, showcase products through lively demos, and create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat business. Whether assisting shoppers on the sales floor or managing transactions at the register, your enthusiasm and communication skills will help us achieve our goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity that can turn into a Retail Store Manager position Duties Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster a positive shopping experience Conduct engaging product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer interest and upselling opportunities Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, offering expert advice on merchandise and store promotions Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with current products Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and conducting stock checks regularly Use effective phone etiquette to answer inquiries promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed Upsell additional products or services to maximize sales opportunities while respecting customer preferences Ensure compliance with store policies on cash handling, retail math calculations, and safety procedures Support cashiering duties by processing returns, exchanges, and refunds efficiently Assist in warehouse duties as needed Assist with shipping and receiving duties as needed Experience Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a proactive attitude are key! Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions confidently Experience supervising or leading teams is a plus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued in team collaboration Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer needs effectively Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain professional phone etiquette Knowledge of grocery store operations or familiarity with retail environments enhances your ability to succeed in this role Experience in merchandising, stocking, or cashiering within a retail or grocery setting will set you apart Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-tier service while developing your sales expertise!
