In this role, you will serve as the go-to expert for firearm and accessory sales, providing knowledgeable guidance while ensuring compliance with all safety and legal standards. Your energetic approach will help customers find the right products, understand their features, and make confident purchasing decisions. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting firearms, accessories, and related products with enthusiasm and professionalism Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to help customers make informed choices Maintain up-to-date knowledge of firearm laws, safety procedures, and store policies to ensure compliance at all times Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions involving cash handling, credit cards, and other payment methods Upsell complementary products such as holsters, cleaning supplies, or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume Stock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the firearm counter is clean, safe, and well-merchandised Provide excellent customer service by answering questions via phone or in person while maintaining proper phone etiquette and communication skills Requirements Prior retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or outdoor sporting goods environment Supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus for mentoring new team members Ability to perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management Strong communication skills with an emphasis on clear, respectful interactions; bilingual abilities are advantageous Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and retail math principles Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering systems using POS technology Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills Must meet all legal requirements related to firearm sales including background checks and age verification Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to providing expert guidance while ensuring safety and compliance.
