At Mark's Outdoors — a trusted local destination for hunting, fishing, firearms, and outdoor gear since 1980 — you'll specialize in selling premium gun safes, home security safes, and protective storage solutions from top brands. In this high-impact sales role, you'll combine strong sales skills with product knowledge to help customers protect their firearms, valuables, and families. You'll drive revenue through in-store consultations, outside sales, territory development, and customer relationship building while showcasing the superior security, fire protection, and quality that Liberty and Browning are known for. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career with a well-established, community-focused retailer in Vestavia Hills. Key Responsibilities Expertly sell top safe lines and other premium security solutions through in-store consultations, product demonstrations, and personalized recommendations Generate new business opportunities via networking, local outreach, in-store conversations and industry events in the Birmingham area Manage and grow existing customer accounts by building trust, understanding needs, and identifying upsell opportunities (larger safes, accessories, delivery & installation) Conduct compelling demonstrations highlighting fire protection, security features, capacity, and customization options of Liberty and Browning safes Develop and execute territory and account plans to increase safe sales, expand market share, and consistently meet or exceed targets Utilize CRM tools to track leads, manage follow-ups, and analyze sales performance Negotiate pricing and packages professionally to create win-win solutions while maintaining profitability Collaborate with the store team on promotions, events, and safety awareness initiatives Requirements Proven track record in sales (retail, outside, B2B, or big-ticket items preferred) Strong ability to sell high-value products through education, demonstration, and relationship building Knowledge of gun safes, home security, or Liberty/Browning products is a big plus (we provide in-depth training) Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills Self-motivated with the ability to work both in-store and in the field Experience with CRM software is a plus Must be 18+, pass a background check, and be comfortable working in a firearms-related retail environment Passion for helping customers protect what matters most
