In this pivotal role, you will lead a skilled team of fabricators, ensure adherence to safety standards, and maintain high-quality production of steel components. Your expertise will drive efficiency, precision, and excellence in every project, helping us deliver top-tier steel solutions for diverse construction and industrial applications. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills while working with cutting-edge fabrication technology in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily operations within the steel fabrication shop, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specifications Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a safe, productive, and collaborative work environment Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes accurately Oversee welding activities including
MIG, TIG, FCAW
(Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to meet ASME codes & standards Operate and maintain fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and machining tools like the press brake machine and power tools Ensure all work complies with safety protocols, including rigging procedures and crane operations for material handling Inspect materials using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools to guarantee precision in sheet metal and ductwork fabrication Manage inventory of raw materials like sheet metal and pipe components while maintaining quality control throughout production Collaborate with project managers to interpret schematics and ensure accurate assembly of fabricated parts Enforce adherence to all safety regulations related to construction site experience, welding standards, and equipment operation Requirements Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong background in steel fabrication or manufacturing settings Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, welding, and plasma cutting techniques Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices for precise fabrication work Knowledge of rigging procedures and crane operation for lifting heavy steel components safely Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes such as pipe threading or pressing operations Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing steel fabrication and welding practices Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes Experience with assembly of fabricated components including ductwork or structural steel elements Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high safety standards on the shop floor Join us if you're ready to lead with energy, precision, and passion!
