Job Description
Job Overview The Phoenix metro area's highest volume retail wallpaper company is seeking experienced, motivated, and professional Retail Sales Associates for our Central Scottsdale location and our North Scottsdale location. We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented High-End Retail Sales Associate to join our small dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience, and driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for luxury home decor and interior design and a commitment to delivering outstanding service. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them in choosing in-stock and special order luxury wallpaper patterns within the store. Provide product knowledge and share recommendations about features and benefits of different wallpaper products to enhance customer understanding and benefits to their home. Cross sell in-stock wallpaper, special order wallpaper and wallpaper installation services. Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and credit card processing. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-stocked and displays are appealing. Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and conducting stock checks. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall customer experience. Must be willing to work at both Scottsdale locations as business needs require. Must be entrusted with store keys and be able to perform opening and closing procedures. Must be able to receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments and inventory. Must be able to lift and move wallpaper books, merchandise, and shipments weighing up to 45 pounds. Must assist with inventory organization, stocking, and showroom maintenance. Must help maintain a clean, professional showroom environment, including vacuuming, dusting, straightening displays, and general cleaning duties. All team members participate in sales, customer service, inventory management, shipping and receiving, and store upkeep. Experience Previous experience in retail sales, customer service or interior decorating is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Familiarity with retail math concepts is needed as you will be required to help customers with amounts of wallpaper needed for their projects. (training will be provided) Experience with luxury home decor product selection is a plus, as it helps in showcasing merchandise effectively. A background in home decor is advantageous but not mandatory. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions, but not required. Must be able to lift and move wallpaper books, merchandise, and shipments weighing up to 45 pounds. Must be comfortable performing physical retail duties, including stocking merchandise, receiving freight, and maintaining showroom cleanliness.
