Position Summary The Sales Associate / Showroom Floor Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while actively supporting the merchandising and physical setup of the showroom floor. This is a dual-role position combining consultative sales with hands-on furniture and home furnishings movement. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Service Greet and assist customers in a warm, knowledgeable manner Guide customers through the showroom and provide product information Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems Support consignor intake and item tagging as needed Maintain showroom appearance, cleanliness, and visual standards Showroom Floor & Merchandising Assist in the placement, relocation, and staging of furniture and home furnishings on the showroom floor Collaborate with team members on team lifts for large or heavy items Rearrange displays to reflect new inventory, seasonal changes, or sales directives Follow all safety protocols when moving merchandise Compensation & Schedule $18.00 - $19.00 per hour , based on experience Full-Time Position Physical Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs. with team lift assistance Comfortable working in a dynamic, active retail environment Qualifications Prior retail or customer service experience preferred Interest in home furnishings, interior design, or luxury resale a plus Reliable, team-oriented, and energetic Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed Must have reliable transportation; occasional travel to other Eco Chic Consignments locations may be required.
