Full Job Description Job Summary/Position Overview:
$17-$18/hour As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience, providing product and project knowledge, and creating memorable and engaging interactions with customers. You will play a crucial role in fostering long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing tailored solutions to exceed their expectations to establish ReStore as the number one source for all home repair and DIY projects. Sales Associates are also responsible for achieving personal and store sales goals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Provide information about the organization's mission, values, and impact to the community. Develop strong relationships with customers by actively listening to their needs, preferences, and feedback. Display expert knowledge on available in-store inventory by building complete solutions for their home improvement projects. Assist with maintaining a visually appealing and organized store environment to showcase inventory effectively. Perform POS transactions accurately and efficiently, while following all cash handling procedures. Represent Habitat for Humanity with integrity and honesty in all interactions with customers. Collaborate with fellow team members to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow from product receiving, to product merchandising and ending with an amazing customer experience. Collaborate with internal teams to communicate customer feedback and improve processes. Stay informed about the organization's mission, values, and programs. Participate in training sessions to enhance the team's knowledge of experience guidelines and quality standards. Contribute to the training of new team members on customer interactions and quality control procedures. Maximize individual performance by accepting direction, coaching, and feedback. Assist customers with daily loading of purchased items Skills & Knowledge Demonstrated ability to achieve individual selling goals and metrics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to assess and manage product quality. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing priorities. Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping. Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to promoting positive customer experiences. Ability to work a flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends and some holidays. Knowledge and compliance of OSHA Standards Must have knowledge of and a willingness to enforce jobsite safety. Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack; must possess a good driving record. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service a plus.
