Position Overview:
The Sales Operations Clerk is a position within the Sales Department that functions as the go to person for day-to-day operations and acts a liaison between the sales department and other departments in the company. This person must be detailed oriented, possess the ability to handle many simultaneous tasks, work efficiently with little supervision, have advanced computer skills, be willing to learn new processes and programs, be flexible with constantly changing priorities, have the ability to determine priorities and enjoy interacting with many people within the entire company. The position requires strong customer relations skills, excellent communications skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. General Responsibilities Expert in Sales Department operating systems (Avante, CRM, Outlook) Works with Sales Management to maintain sales policies Point of contact for other departments that need to work with the sales department Set up desks for new employees Verifies sales calendar availability when vacation requests are made Point of contact for sales department issues relating to policies and procedures, phone system, computer network issues, CRM, Avante, Catalog and Price Guide, complaints on "roadblocks" that keep department from completing tasks, and/or taking suggestions that will streamline any sales procedures. Keeps department information updated such as territory map, phone list, floor plan, fax cover sheet, sales calendar Offers back-up assistance in various roles such as front desk, order entry, product expeditor Process sample sales orders Process office supply requests Process dealer applications after approval from upper management Process requests for uniforms, business cards, badge and maintain in spreadsheet
