Job Description

Consultant must have experience with retail store systems and hardware environments.
Project Management Experience:
7+ years leading planning & execution in mid-to-large organizations
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities
Stakeholder Management:
Ability to collaborate, influence, and build relationships across all levels
Organizational Skills:
Manage multiple priorities and competing initiatives effectively
Vendor Management:
Experience negotiating and managing vendor contracts
Retail Technology Knowledge:
Understanding of POS systems, retail hardware/software, and store tech Strong exp. of hardware certifications, pilots, and large-scale rollouts . Hands-on understanding of how store devices and applications connect (POS, handhelds, printers, back-office systems). Technically grounded background (e.g., former engineer/developer or highly technical lead). Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multiple vendors . Manage the store hardware lifecycle roadmap, including OS strategy and standards, in partnership with architecture teams.
Responsibilities Lifecycle Management:
Track EOS/EOES, plan multi-year hardware refresh strategies
Device Certification & Testing:
Lead validation, compliance, and lab testing
Hardware Deployment:
Govern rollout plans, schedules, and execution
Project Management:
Lead large-scale hardware refresh & rollout programs
Procurement Management:
Handle BOMs, vendors, logistics, and delivery
Vendor Management:
Own contracts, SOWs, and vendor performance
Planning & Execution:
Develop detailed project/workstream plans
Stakeholder Management:
Define scope, align with business & technical teams
Risk Management:
Identify, track, and escalate risks/issues/dependencies
Executive Reporting:
Provide status updates, risks, and decision insights
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with business, operations, and third parties
Team Leadership:
Oversee internal teams and external partners
Process Improvement:
Drive optimization and capture lessons learned 🔹 Top skills
