Job Description
Consultant must have experience with retail store systems and hardware environments.
Project Management Experience:
7+ years leading planning & execution in mid-to-large organizationsCommunication Skills:
Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilitiesStakeholder Management:
Ability to collaborate, influence, and build relationships across all levelsOrganizational Skills:
Manage multiple priorities and competing initiatives effectivelyVendor Management:
Experience negotiating and managing vendor contractsRetail Technology Knowledge:
Understanding of POS systems, retail hardware/software, and store tech Strong exp. of hardware certifications, pilots, and large-scale rollouts . Hands-on understanding of how store devices and applications connect (POS, handhelds, printers, back-office systems). Technically grounded background (e.g., former engineer/developer or highly technical lead). Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and multiple vendors . Manage the store hardware lifecycle roadmap, including OS strategy and standards, in partnership with architecture teams.Responsibilities Lifecycle Management:
Track EOS/EOES, plan multi-year hardware refresh strategiesDevice Certification & Testing:
Lead validation, compliance, and lab testingHardware Deployment:
Govern rollout plans, schedules, and executionProject Management:
Lead large-scale hardware refresh & rollout programsProcurement Management:
Handle BOMs, vendors, logistics, and deliveryVendor Management:
Own contracts, SOWs, and vendor performancePlanning & Execution:
Develop detailed project/workstream plansStakeholder Management:
Define scope, align with business & technical teamsRisk Management:
Identify, track, and escalate risks/issues/dependenciesExecutive Reporting:
Provide status updates, risks, and decision insightsCross-functional Collaboration:
Work with business, operations, and third partiesTeam Leadership:
Oversee internal teams and external partnersProcess Improvement:
