Job Description
Job Summary Rancho Coastal Humane Society Thrift Shop is looking for dedicated, dependable animal loving person to join our production/retail team in Cardiff by the Sea, CA. Job responsibilities include sorting and pricing incoming donations. We are also seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, assisting them with their shopping needs, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a knack for upselling, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Sorting and pricing items, loading and unloading items from storage bins. Researching current pricing on used items. Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by managing inventory levels and restocking merchandise as needed. Maintain a positive work environment including adherence to store policies and procedures. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store environment at all times. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations. Follow directions given by supervisors and management team. Requirements Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills including phone etiquette. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive customer experience. Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand on your feet for your shift. Previous knowledge of pricing items is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance customer interactions. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends as required by the store schedule.
