Responsibilities Lead informative and engaging tastings, educating guests about the history, production, and unique qualities of our products. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering personalized recommendations, and upselling products to enhance guest experience. Manage point-of-sale transactions efficiently using systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and receipt processing. Assist with menu planning for tasting flights and special events, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection that highlights product features. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room, including food handling and safety protocols aligned with food safety standards. Support sales initiatives through effective upselling techniques and promote retail product purchases. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods, including serving guests at events or banquets when needed. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling and cashiering is a plus. Background in culinary arts, meal preparation, catering, banquet service, or food safety enhances your suitability for this role. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor; ability to educate and engage diverse audiences. Experience in fine dining environments or food industry roles involving serving or food handling is advantageous. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings during special events or peak times. Knowledge of menu planning, sales techniques, upselling strategies, and food safety regulations is desirable.
