Tasting Room Associate

Job Summary Healdsburg winery is seeking part-time/on-call sales and hospitality help for our downtown tasting room and winery estate. We are looking for a fun, outgoing and self-motivated individual that is passionate about wine. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, working 1-4 days a week based on tasting room and tour traffic, events, and vacation coverage as needed. This position is largely sales/hospitality oriented, selling not only wines and wine clubs, but the story of our small, family-owned winery.

Hospitality Duties:

• Interact with customers in a professional, energetic, and friendly manner.
• Educate guests about the brand and wine.
• Work alongside other tasting room associates to meet monthly sales/wine club goals.
• Greet visitors and conduct tastings.
• Host private tours, tastings, and picnics at our winery estate
• Event help as needed.
• Sales and hospitality.
• Opening/Closing shift and related duties.
• Telephone and email correspondence.
• Wine club and sales support.
• Stock wines and merchandise.
• Maintain tasting room cleanliness and overall aesthetics.
• Additional responsibilities available depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications:

• Wine service experience preferred but not required.
• Written/verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Wine knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Strong sales background preferred.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift/carry 50lbs.
• 21 Years of age or older.
