Cellevate is a social wellness space in Long Beach designed to help people feel their best through movement, yoga, breathwork, soundbaths, cold plunge, jacuzzi, and infrared sauna. We create opportunities for our community to slow down, reset, and elevate their well-being together. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves people and thrives in creating welcoming, memorable experiences. As a Member Experience Guide, you'll often be the first and last person our guests interact with. You'll help guide guests through their wellness journey while fostering a sense of connection and belonging within our community.
What You'll Do:
Welcome members and guests with warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine care Check guests in and assist with booking classes, memberships, and Contrast Cave sessions Offer tours of the space to prospective guests, confidently sharing Cellevate's mission, offerings, and unique approach to wellness Build meaningful relationships by learning names and creating personalized experiences Become deeply knowledgeable in Cellevate's classes, memberships, experiences, and philosophy in order to guide guests toward offerings that best support their goals Conduct outreach to prospective members through phone calls, text messages, and other forms of communication, helping people feel informed, supported, and excited to visit Follow up with leads and inquiries in a thoughtful, non-pushy way that reflects Cellevate's values Introduce first-time guests to the Contrast Cave experience and create a sense of safety and confidence before they begin Guide guests through cold plunge experiences using breath, encouragement, and calm presence, helping them regulate their nervous systems and move through moments of discomfort with confidence Assist members with retail purchases and basic point-of-sale transactions Respond to phone calls, texts, and emails in a timely and professional manner Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and common areas Support opening and closing procedures and other day-to-day operational needs
What We're Looking For:
A naturally warm and welcoming presence who enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life Strong communication skills and the ability to tell a story, explain concepts clearly, and help others feel at ease Confidence initiating conversations and giving tours to prospective guests Emotional intelligence and the ability to remain calm, grounded, and reassuring in high-energy or vulnerable moments A genuine interest in wellness and helping others step outside of their comfort zones Reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail Comfort multitasking and adapting in a fast-paced environment Tech-savviness and willingness to learn new systems Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, wellness, coaching, teaching, retail, or sales is preferred but not required
Note:
You do not need prior experience guiding cold plunges to apply. We provide comprehensive training on Cellevate's offerings, guest experience standards, and our approach to contrast therapy. You'll learn how to safely and confidently guide guests through Cold Plunges using breath, presence, and encouragement to help them feel supported every step of the way.
Schedule & Availability:
This is a part-time position averaging 20-30 hours per week . Cellevate is open seven days a week, and team members should be available to work within our operating hours:
Monday-Friday:
6:00 AM-8:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM-5:00
PM Sunday:
8:00 AM-4:00 PM Applicants must be willing to: Work approximately 20-30 hours per week Work opening and/or closing shifts as scheduled Be available to work weekends as part of their regular schedule
