POSITION TITLE

Gift Shop Clerk

JOB PURPOSE

Assists the gift shop management in providing our guests with an exceptional shopping experience; ensuring merchandise is displayed.

QUALIFICATIONS

(Include equipment knowledge/use) Excellent guest service and organizational skills Ability to effectively communicate, understand, and empathize Knowledge of personal computer and typing Ability to use electronic equipment including "Point of Sale" and telephone Excellent arithmetic skills preferred Must read, write, and speak English

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED preferred

LICENSE REQUIREMENTS

Obtain and maintain Pala Gaming License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for all functions of the register, including opening and closing Ensures all guests are provided with excellent interaction when visiting the gift shop Acquires knowledge of both standard and unique merchandise available at the gift shop Helps assist with merchandising the gift shop sales floor Responsible for "checking in orders" and notifies management of any discrepancies promptly Ensures all required merchandise is correctly tagged for scanning Ensures that all merchandise is organized, straightened, and presented correctly Responsible for routine counts on stock merchandise, inventory counts, and compiling end of the month figures Ensures departmental functions are performed within established departmental policies and procedures Notifies Retail Manager of any wrongdoings or irregularities Perform other duties as assigned
