Job Description

;The Bambino Thrift Shop benefits USCF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. It's staffed by volunteers and has been in its current Rockridge location for 30 years. We pride ourselves in the variety of quality merchandise. Reporting to the Bambino board, the Team Leader oversees the overall operations including interaction with the diverse customer base. The Team Leader works with and supports volunteers in their daily tasks. Responsibilities of the Team Leader include: Cash register set up and end of day reports Working with and coaching volunteers Supervising and evaluating intake of donations Consulting with the regular volunteer decorators on displays and shop appearance Actively recruit new volunteers Managing our social media accounts and our Etsy Shop Working closely with the volunteer co-managers and attending board meetings when needed Successful candidates must have: Three years retail work experience, including cash handling experience Familiarity with point-of-sale system helpful (We use Clover) Ability to work 5 days: Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday 10:30 -3:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday 10:30 - 4:30 p.m. High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred We are looking for someone with excellent customer service and strong communication skills who can work collaboratively with our diverse volunteers and customers. A successful candidate has problem-solving skills and can give volunteers work direction to their skill level. Bambino is a fun place to work! Each day offers a unique experience based on the regular volunteers who strongly support our mission. Salary and benefits for this part-time position: $27/hour. Sick leave is offered per the State of California requirements. The Shop is closed between Christmas and New Years, approximately 3 weeks. There are 5 paid holidays: New Year, Christmas, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving and the day before Thanksgiving.
