In this energetic role, you will engage with customers, provide expert guidance on optical products, and support the overall sales process within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. Your enthusiasm and knowledge will help enhance the patient experience while promoting our wide range of optical and optometry related services. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical terminology and processes, retail sales, and optical systems while contributing to a team dedicated to improving vision health. Responsibilities Assist customers in selecting eyewear and optical products that meet their needs, preferences, and prescriptions. Provide detailed product explanations based on the doctors recommendations to ensure informed purchasing decisions. Support the optical team by managing inventory, updating medical records, and maintaining accurate documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as RevolutionEHR. Educate patients on proper eye care practices. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for referrals with HIPAA compliance standards for patient confidentiality. Promote retail sales through excellent customer service, retail math skills, and offering multiple glasses and contact solutions to each patient. Assist in clinic operations by understanding billing processes, coding procedures related to optometry services, and supporting pediatric or senior care patient needs when applicable. Qualifications Prior experience in optical sales or retail management is a great thing . Knowledge of optics principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology enhances your ability to serve customers effectively. Familiarity with EHR systems is preferred Understanding of HIPAA regulations ensures compliance with patient privacy standards. Experience working with medical records supports accurate documentation and recordkeeping. Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude will help you excel in our patient-centric environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
