Job Description
Sales Associate / Cashier Job Overview We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and hardworking Sales Associate/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, stocking shelves and coolers, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The ideal candidate enjoys working with customers, can handle a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping the store running smoothly. Responsibilities Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service. Operate the cash register and accurately process cash, credit card, and other transactions. Verify identification and follow all laws regarding the sale of alcohol and tobacco products. Stock shelves, refrigerators, and coolers with merchandise. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking products as needed. Keep the sales floor, coolers, checkout area, and store clean and organized. Assist customers with product recommendations and locating items. Receive deliveries and help organize back-stock inventory. Follow all store policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines. Perform opening, closing, and general housekeeping duties as assigned. Qualifications Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly. Comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and stocking products throughout the shift. Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Must be able to obtain any required alcohol sales certification if applicable.
