Our experienced boiler sales and service specialists are always available with the information you need to make informed decisions about your boiler operations, including design, development, purchasing, maintenance and repairs. To ensure maximum performance and efficiency, we provide customers with the most modern boiler products and technologies available, including a wide range of low NOx and ultra low NOx systems that ensure compliance with the latest emission standards.
Location:
San Jose, CA. Full-time internship. Onsite required Position Overview The Inventory / Shop Intern supports daily warehouse and shop operations at San Jose Boiler Works. This role focuses on inventory organization, material handling, and general shop assistance to help maintain efficiency, accuracy, and a clean working environment. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in mechanical contracting, warehouse operations, and field support. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Assist with organizing and labeling inventory in the warehouse and shop Count and track inventory to ensure accurate stock levels Support inventory audits and physical counts Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and equipment Identify and report damaged or missing items Shop & Warehouse Support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Assist technicians with material staging for jobs Prepare tools, equipment, and parts for upcoming projects Return unused materials back to inventory and ensure proper documentation General Shop Assistance Help with basic tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and shop upkeep Assist with simple assembly or disassembly of equipment under supervision Support team members with miscellaneous tasks as assigned Qualifications High school student, recent graduate, or currently enrolled in a trade/technical program Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Basic organizational and time-management skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a warehouse/shop environment Valid driver's license is a plus Work permit if applicable Skills & Traits Attention to detail (important for inventory accuracy) Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and team-oriented Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Work Environment Warehouse and mechanical shop setting May involve exposure to equipment, tools, and moderate noise Requires standing, lifting, and moving throughout the day What You'll Gain Hands-on experience with inventory and warehouse operations Exposure to commercial boiler and mechanical systems Opportunity to learn from experienced technicians and staff
