Store Clerk/Cashier

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, maintaining store operations, and supporting sales initiatives. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs. Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. Maintain an organized and well-stocked sales floor by restocking shelves and managing inventory. Utilize retail math skills to ensure accurate pricing and inventory management. Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales. Supervise junior staff members and provide training as needed. Process returns and exchanges according to store policies. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the store, including stock areas. Assist with visual merchandising to create appealing product displays. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong cash handling skills with experience operating POS systems. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Familiarity with stock management processes is a plus.
