Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Retail Guide to join our team at Collective formerly Blüm-Santa Ana. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service while educating customers about cannabis products, ensuring a positive and informative experience. The role requires a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, product types, and legal requirements, as well as the ability to make product recommendations based on customer needs and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner. Provide accurate information on cannabis products, including flower, edibles, concentrates, and accessories. Educate customers on consumption methods, dosages, and product effects. Make personalized product recommendations based on customer preferences and requirements. Ensure all transactions comply with California state cannabis laws and regulations. Verify customer age and identification in compliance with legal guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor and dispensary environment. Stay up-to-date with new products, strains, and industry trends. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system. Contribute to the overall team effort to meet sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications:

Minimum age of 21, in accordance with California law. Previous retail, customer service, or cannabis industry experience preferred. Strong knowledge of cannabis products, strains, consumption methods, and industry trends. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain products and make recommendations. Familiarity with state cannabis laws and regulatory requirements. High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and handle inventory.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with a dispensary point-of-sale (POS) system. Passion for the cannabis industry and its positive impact on health and wellness. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment. Must be comfortable interacting with a wide range of customers, including medical and recreational users.
