Responsibilities Greet customers warmly in both languages, creating an inviting shopping environment that encourages engagement. Assist customers with product selection by demonstrating features, conducting product demos, and explaining benefits clearly. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including sales, returns, and exchanges. Handle cash, process payments securely, and perform cash handling duties with attention to detail. Upsell products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized according to store standards. Conduct stock replenishment by stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and managing inventory levels efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette or in person with professionalism and patience. Assist with store opening/closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation and safety checks. Support team members with supervising tasks when needed, fostering a collaborative retail environment. Engage customers through product demos and explain features to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain cleanliness of the sales floor, ensure proper signage is displayed, and follow merchandising guidelines. Support grocery or specialty store operations as required, including inventory management and product placement. Skills Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish; excellent communication skills in both languages are essential. Prior retail sales experience with a strong understanding of sales techniques such as upselling and cross-selling. Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, cash handling, and retail math calculations. Experience in supervising or leading team activities is a plus; ability to assist in training new staff members. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally via phone or face-to-face interactions. Knowledge of merchandising principles to create appealing displays that attract customers. Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards in a grocery or retail setting. Basic math skills for balancing registers, calculating discounts, or managing inventory counts accurately. Excellent communication skills to effectively convey product information and assist diverse customer needs.
