About Us JB's Jewelers is a family-owned and operated jewelry store proudly serving the Santa Maria community since 2009. Voted Best Jewelry Store of Santa Maria Valley 2026, we specialize in fine jewelry sales, custom jewelry design, jewelry repair, watch services, laser engraving, gold buying, and special orders. At JB's Jewelers, we believe every customer deserves exceptional service and honest guidance. Whether helping someone celebrate a special milestone, restore a treasured family heirloom, or find the perfect gift, our team is dedicated to creating a welcoming and memorable experience. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team. ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service. Assist customers in selecting jewelry, watches, gifts, and special-order items. Build relationships with customers and create a positive shopping experience. Explain financing, layaway, repair services, and custom jewelry options. Follow up with customers regarding orders, repairs, and special requests. Store Operations Process sales transactions accurately using the cash register and credit card terminal. Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting showroom. Assist with receiving, organizing, pricing, and displaying merchandise. Help maintain accurate inventory records. Jewelry & Service Support Perform jewelry cleaning and basic jewelry maintenance. Check in and check out jewelry repair orders. Contact customers regarding repair updates and completed work. Learn basic jewelry knowledge, including metals, gemstones, diamonds, watches, and jewelry care. QualificationsPreferred Skills Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Retail sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly, outgoing, and professional attitude. Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability to learn product knowledge and sales techniques. Additional Skills (Helpful but Not Required) Jewelry industry experience. Watch battery replacement experience. Knowledge of diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, and jewelry repair processes.
