Job Description

La Grande Orange Grocery is seeking friendly, energetic team members to join our fun and dynamic team! We are becoming Santa Monica's favorite retail destination known for unique gifts and wine.
Position Overview:
We're looking for a dependable, upbeat Retail Sales Associate to support our gift department. You'll assist guests, working towards a daily goal as well as help keep the department stocked, clean and efficient. This is a team-driven role with a focus on creating sale through warm and sincere guest interations.
Responsibilities:
Greet customers warmly and offer your help to select great gifts. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations Help keep the displays clean and organized, and ensure merchandise is well-presented and restocked regularly Provide knowledgeable advice on items within the department. Help keep the department clean and organized. Support inventory management through stocking,pricing, and inventory counts
Qualifications:
Previous experience in retail sales or customer service preferred but not required Comfortable and available to work evenings and weekends Strong communication skills and positive attitude Reliable, responsible, and team-oriented Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable being responsible for achieving daily sales goals. Reliable attendance and punctuality are required for all scheduled shifts
Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour
