Job Description
Overview:
The Retail Inventory Lead is responsible for executing and improving daily inventory tasks under the guidance of the Regional Inventory Manager in strict compliance of all state laws and standard operating procedures. The Inventory department offers our members a reliable selection of high-quality products in a comfortable, professional setting, where our commitment to sustainable operations is demonstrated by exemplary business practices that protect people and the environment. The Retail Inventory Lead maintains cycle counts, prepares menus, and responds to requests for products on the dispensary floor.
Duties:
Perform opening and closing inventory duties Execute service area preparations and store set up daily Assist with daily reconciliation and reporting of sales from point of sale to METRC California State Track and Trace software Prepare menu updates and printing for dispensary floor Prepare and submit product orders to vendors to meet demand Provides updates to employees on new products available Maintain suitable inventory levels throughout the daily operation Facilitate inventory communication between departments and guidance for Inventory Assistants working in the inventory department Assist with intake process by checking in deliveries against manifest and invoices to ensure accuracy Assist with data entry for inventory receipt including barcoding packages accurately for batch tracking sales to dispensary customers Assist with daily, weekly and monthly cycle inventory audits along with making the corresponding adjustments in point of sale and track and trace software Execute and improve upon systems to minimize and manage the loss Maintain and cultivate a professional and positive relationship with our vendors and distributors Ensure all inventory is received, documented, secured and distributed appropriately Assist in troubleshooting inventory discrepancies through data analysis Assist with return & exchange logistics with consultants as needed Maintain a positive, caring attitude, and treat co-workers with respect and sensitivity Use discretion with sensitive and confidential security and business information Perform other related work as required
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or the equivalent in work experience 21 years of age or older 1-2 years experience supervising retail employees 1-2 years of inventory experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess personal knowledge of the medicinal effects of cannabis and cannabis products Enjoys repetitive tasks Able to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision Familiarity with traditional retail inventory Possess strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Team Leaders and other cross-functional team members Collaborate effectively with peers, the business and other team members High ethical standards and a positive and professional demeanor Attention to detail and interest working with numbers Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all solutions Knowledgeable on strains, genetic and effects of cannabis products Possess a high level of organization, patience, and flexibility Basic math skills Basic computer and information technology skills
Physical Demands:
The employee is frequently required to use hands to type, handle, see and feel The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, talk and hear The employee is regularly required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch or reach The employee must have the ability to occasionally safely lift and/or move a minimum of 40 lbs This position is subject to E-Verify verification of eligibility to work in the United States.
