Role:
The Studio Assistant plays a vital role in our yoga studio by ensuring a positive experience for our students from the moment they arrive until their departure. We are seeking a candidate with an exceptional attitude, a passion for yoga, and a strong commitment to cleanliness and organization. This position requires someone who loves working with people and possesses excellent communication and sales skills.
Shift Times:
Current open shifts include: 1. Wednesday 6am
  • 1:30pm 2. Monday 4pm
  • 8:45pm 3. Friday 4pm
  • 7:15pm 4. Sunday 4:30
  • 8pm Candidate can choose to apply for one or more of the open shifts. Candidates must also be open to working one rotating Sunday shift/month (either 7:30
  • 12:45) or a special event (time varies, typically 2-3 hours on a Saturday/Sunday).
Job Responsibilities:
Greeting and Check-In:
Welcome students warmly and create a friendly atmosphere. Check-in students using our Walla software.
  • Ensure accurate attendance records and resolve any check-in issues promptly.

Product and Service Knowledge:
a. Develop a comprehensive understanding of our class offerings, pricing, and special promotions. Actively promote and sell our services to both new and existing clients. Provide accurate information and answer questions about our studio and yoga classes.
Communication:
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally. Maintain open and effective communication with students, instructors, and other staff members. Assist students in scheduling classes, workshops, and retail.
Retail Management:
Keep the retail area clean, organized, and visually appealing. Regularly refresh and restock merchandise, ensuring accurate inventory tracking. Assist customers in selecting and purchasing yoga-related products.
Studio Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and tidy studio environment. This includes and is not limited to: i. Clean and sanitize the practice room after classes, ensuring props are neat, cleaned and available for use. ii. Monitor and refill soap dispensers, wipe down counters, floors, and ensure overall tidiness and cleanliness. iii. Launder studio towels, blankets and bolsters. iv. Regularly empty trash and maintain a clutter-free reception area.
Administrative Tasks:
Assist with signing up new clients, processing payments, and managing client accounts using mind body software. Perform additional yet standard various administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and report generation. Help with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth studio operations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly wage of $17 Monthly unlimited yoga membership for personal use We believe in providing a supportive and inclusive work environment that values teamwork, personal growth, and work-life balance.
Requirements:
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other staff members. Ability to maintain a calm and kind demeanor in all situations. Ability to maintain a clean and tidy environment. Must be able to lift 30 pounds unassisted.
