About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced and driven Store Lead to launch and lead our newest Fresh Fill location — Fresh Fill Modern Market w/ Juice It Up!, Harvest Subs, and Chevron-branded fuel — at 4310 S Mooney Blvd, Visalia, CA. As our founding Store Lead at this location, you will partner directly with company leadership to build the team, establish the culture, and open the store from the ground up. Once open, you serve as the operational and cultural anchor and primary on-site decision-maker, overseeing all aspects of store performance, team development, and guest experience across our convenience store, Juice Bar, Harvest Subs, Hot Foods, and fuel operations. Our Core Values Great Work Ethic — Committed to excellence through hard work, dedication, persistence, and continuous improvement Service Oriented — Prioritizing guest satisfaction by delivering personalized, attentive service that exceeds expectations Respectful / Trustworthy / Reliable — Fostering dignity, integrity, and dependability in all relationships Attention to Detail — Meticulously managing operations to ensure quality, consistency, and precision Positive Attitude — Cultivating an optimistic environment and viewing challenges as opportunities for growth Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations across all departments (convenience store, Juice Bar, Harvest Subs, Hot Foods, and Chevron-branded fuel) ensuring compliance with food safety, fuel, health, and operational standards Manage vendor relationships, inventory control, pricing accuracy, and shrink/spoilage tracking to optimize profit margins Process invoices, price changes, and coordinate updates across all platforms including POS, DoorDash, and the Fresh Fill Mobile App Oversee fuel pricing, fuel inventory, and Chevron brand compliance standards Oversee California Lottery terminal operations in accordance with state retailer requirements Complete daily accounting of store sales and cashier paperwork; address discrepancies and escalate red flags to the Operating Partner and Accounting Department promptly Handle cash operations including safe reconciliation, ATM maintenance, and daily team tip calculation and distribution Lead, mentor, and develop Leadership Team Members and Associates through coaching, training, and performance management — beginning with hiring and onboarding the store team from the ground up Maintain an exceptional guest experience through store cleanliness, service recovery, and monitoring of in-store, drive-thru, and third-party orders Manage communication systems and ensure team alignment on company policies and procedures Participate in strategic meetings with Marketing and Company Leadership to drive performance improvements and cross-store consistency Take full ownership of store operations and adapt daily priorities based on operational needs What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in a retail, convenience store, restaurant, or food service leadership role (7+ years strongly preferred) Proven experience directly managing a team of 10 or more associates Experience opening or launching a new location is a strong plus Experience with fuel operations (Chevron, Shell, Arco, or similar) is a strong plus ServSafe Manager certification (or equivalent) required; candidates currently certified are strongly preferred. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not already certified Strong ability to drive team performance, accountability, and professional development Solid understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and loss prevention Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound, independent decisions in a fast-paced environment High integrity, honesty, and a passion for team and community investment Detail-oriented with consistent follow-through on commitments Flexible and adaptive with availability for scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Physical Requirements Role requires prolonged standing (up to 10 hours), frequent walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, reaching, bending, and repetitive motions.
