Job Description
Join northern California's largest honey and mead tasting room. Z Specialty Food, a family owned and operated honey company, seeks an outgoing, creative and hardworking Tasting Room Team Member as part of The HIVE Tasting Room + Kitchen. This part-time position includes weekend and evening shifts and reports to the Tasting Room Manager. Position Responsibilities Customer Experience + Education Help cultivate a consistent, memorable and engaging customer experience. Become a honey and mead expert. Learn about varietal honeys, craft meads and our farm to fork menu and share this knowledge with customers. Promote and sell honey and mead by delivering exceptional guest experience. Answer customer questions about products and menu items, the history of the business, upcoming events, and rentals. Assist with special events (on and off site) and private event rentals (setup, staffing, cleanup) Tasting Room + Kitchen Deliver meals and beverages to customers, clear tables. Assist and support the execution of The HIVE's seasonal displays and showcasing new products. Handle customer purchasing transactions, operate the POS register, account for sales throughout shift. Perform open and closing procedures such as locking/arming the facility, balancing registers and counting cash, restocking, cleaning and setup. Cleaning + Maintenance Restock tasting room products and merchandise, assist with rotating tasting room displays and offerings. Ensure the courtyard and tasting room are maintained, furniture is stored and treated properly, communicate any needs with maintenance staff. General housekeeping responsibilities, including tidying indoor and outdoor spaces, wiping counters, moping, dusting, bussing tables. Restock and clean bathrooms, do laundry. Marketing + Outreach Assist in promoting The HIVE's events, programs, and initiatives. Assist with tasting room specific social media postings.
