Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges while handling cash, credit cards, and mobile payments with confidence. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions clearly, and providing product demos to showcase features and benefits. Assist in merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented to maximize sales opportunities. Engage in upselling techniques by recommending complementary products and informing customers about current promotions to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times. Support inventory management through stocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and notifying management of low inventory levels. Supervise fellow team members when needed, providing guidance on sales techniques and customer service standards to foster a collaborative environment. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery stores is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential! Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations. Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth checkout processes. Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette. Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership opportunities within the team.
