This role involves supporting food service operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting. Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or restaurant operations is a plus. This position offers an engaging work environment where you can develop valuable skills in food handling, sales, and hospitality. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and assembly of menu items according to company standards Operate POS systems such as Spark POS for order processing and cash handling Provide friendly customer service, taking orders, and addressing customer inquiries Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including bussing tables and cleaning kitchen equipment Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times Support inventory management by restocking supplies as needed Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently Assist with basic food handling duties in accordance with health regulations Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues during busy periods Requirements Previous experience in food service, quick service, or fast food restaurant is preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems such as Spark POS is a plus Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if needed Prior experience in cashiering, serving, or retail math is advantageous but not mandatory This position provides an opportunity to gain valuable experience within the food industry while working in a lively café or restaurant setting.
