Job Description

Fourth Front Aviation is seeking an experienced A&P to lead operations for our GA maintenance shop on KCOS. Job Overview The Shop Lead will be responsible for day to day operations for GA maintenance, planning, scheduling and shop coordination. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Shop Lead should be an experienced A&P, preferred IA, comfortable working on a wide range of aircraft including piston, turboprop and light jet. The ideal candidate has avionics experience, but we are open to training in this area. The goal of this role is to relieve some of the day to day shop floor oversight from the Director of Operations. The Director of Operations has decades of experience, and will train and mentor the Shop Lead in advanced maintenance, structural and avionics MRO. Duties Lead and supervise the repair station's maintenance team to ensure timely completion of aircraft repairs, inspections, and modifications. Coordinate daily workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet operational goals. Utilize and champion productivity tools to ensure hours billed are accurate, front office staff has access to info regarding customer projects, and be able to communicate with customers on technical aspects of their aircraft. Maintain detailed records within CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work orders, inspections, parts inventory, and maintenance history. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in manufacturing processes, schematics interpretation, and equipment troubleshooting. Train and become proficient for promotion to Chief Inspector. Requirements Proven experience as an aircraft mechanic or in a similar aviation maintenance role with a strong background in piston and turboprop aircraft. Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations related to aircraft maintenance (FAR Part 43 & 145), and aviation safety protocols. Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards for safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance. Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
