This is an outdoor, hands-on role — you'll be the face of High Plains Stone for a lot of our customers, helping them pick out materials, loading products into their vehicles, and running transactions at the register. If you love being outside and thrive around people, this one's for you. No loader operation required — we'll train you on everything you need. What You'll Do Greet and assist customers in the yard with a friendly, helpful attitude Help load rock into customer vehicles Process sales transactions at the register Keep an eye on the yard — notice when customers need help before they have to ask Pitch in on general yard upkeep — keeping the space safe, clean and presentable Stay calm and solution-focused when things get busy or a customer is frustrated Work as part of a tight-knit team to keep the yard running smoothly What We're Looking For More than anything, we hire for character. The right person for this role has: Positive energy — you show up ready to work and it's contagious Genuine love of helping people — customers feel it immediately Situational awareness — you notice what's happening around you and respond proactively Attention to detail — you take pride in your work and inspire others to do the same Cool under pressure — busy days and tough customers don't rattle you A glass-half-full mindset — you look for solutions, not problems Experience in landscaping, construction, nursery work, or other outdoor/manual labor is a plus, but not required. We can teach the job — we can't teach the attitude. Must be able to lift and load heavy materials (50+ lbs) and work comfortably outdoors in all weather conditions. Schedule Seasonal position running through October . Hours vary; weekend availability required.
