Job Description
Family owned liquor store is looking for a friendly and professional Cashier/Sales Associate to manage transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. Ideal applicants would have previous experience with customer service in a retail environment and foundational knowledge of beer, wine and spirits. Job Duties Provide prompt and courteous service, including greeting customers. Guide customers to right product, answering questions and offering recommendations. Operate cash register system accurately and efficiently, including checking ID's. Perform shift opening and/or closing paperwork. Must stock and re-stock shelves, replenishing product in shelving and coolers. Regular cleaning of restroom, counters, floors, coolers, equipment and dusting shelves. Perform additional duties as needed, including receiving orders and reviewing inventory. Utilize bilingual skills in Spanish to assist Spanish-speaking customers a plus. Qualifications & Experience Highly motivated self-starter, who enjoys working independently and part of a team. Able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and/or holidays. Good math skills, strong communication and time management skills. Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales. Familiarity with cash register and POS. Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds. High school diploma preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be 21 years of age and able to pass a background check. Pay is dependent on experience.
