Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Wine & Spirits Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by assisting guests with product selection, answering inquiries, and ensuring the store is merchandised to company standards. The ideal candidate will have a knowledgeable about wine and spirits with a desire to learn more, a passion for building customer relationships, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Role & Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Provide advice and personalized recommendations to customers on wine and spirits Respond promptly to customer inquiries, requests, and product availability questions Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat business Store Operations & Merchandising Support the Wine Store Manager in merchandising, product displays, and maintaining company visual standards Assist in maintaining appropriate stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and storing products Participate in inventory control, including setting par levels and conducting physical counts Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and presentable at all times Ship wine products accurately and efficiently Communication & Coordination Serve as a liaison between customers and management in the manager's absence Stay informed on current pricing, promotions, new products, and signage updates Coordinate with the Corporate Customer Service team on client needs and inquiries Support special promotions, product demos, and community outreach events as needed Qualifications & Requirements Knowledge of Wines and Spirits and a desire to learn more. Minimum 1 years of experience in a wine & spirits store or similar retail/sales role or sommelier experience. Valid driver's license for deliveries. Proven ability to work independently and develop repeat clientele Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Dependable, self-motivated, and professional demeanor Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Additional Responsibilities Attend meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as scheduled Travel to other store locations if required Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned by senior leadership Physical & Scheduling Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods (6h-8h) and lift/carry boxes up to 70 pounds. Including up and down step stools and ladders. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Proficiency in English (reading, writing, basic math, and data analysis) Clean Driver's License
