Part-Time Retail Clerk: Pool Store

Merit Pools - Torrington, CT Merit Pools is looking for a dependable and friendly part-time retail clerk to join our growing pool and spa team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and learning about pool and spa products. We are a fast-paced, customer-focused pool store serving both retail and service customers throughout Northwest Connecticut.

Schedule Monday-Friday:

2:00 PM - 6:00

PM Sunday:

9:00 AM - 1:00 PM Part-time / Seasonal with potential for long-term opportunity Responsibilities Assist customers with pool and spa chemicals, parts, and accessories Perform computerized water testing and explain results to customers Identify common pool equipment and replacement parts Answer incoming phone calls and assist service customers Schedule or relay service-related information to our field team Maintain a clean and organized retail environment Help customers load products when needed Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Comfortable using computers and learning retail software Ability to multitask in a busy environment Willingness to learn pool and spa products Retail, pool industry, or customer service experience is helpful but not required Must be reliable and punctual What We Offer Friendly team environment On-the-job training Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity to grow within the company Employee discounts on pool products
