Marine Retail Sales Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Outlet Store Sales Associate, you'll deliver exceptional service, share your marine expertise, and play a key role in driving sales and day-to-day store operations, including merchandising, inventory control and overall store standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Deliver outstanding, personalized customer service and maintain high standards in customer interactions Demonstrate strong product knowledge and effectively assist customers with product selection and solutions Support sales floor operations, merchandising, and visual presentation standards Maintain awareness of current promotions, pricing, and marketing initiatives Answer phones and respond promptly to customer and team inquiries Assist with inventory management, including stocking, counts, and organization Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the store and warehouse areas Monitor store security and ensure the safety of customers and team members Collaborate effectively with team members across departments Assist customers with loading and unloading merchandise as needed Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

High school diploma required; associate degree or higher preferred 2+ years of retail, sales, or customer service experience preferred Hands-on experience in the marine industry strongly preferred, including marine retail/store experience, boat ownership, or a combination of both Practical knowledge of marine products and boating applications is highly valued

Skills & Competencies:

Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks Team-oriented with a flexible and positive attitude This position is based in a temperature-controlled retail store specializing in marine sales. The role is highly customer-facing and may be fast-paced and noisy at times, especially during peak seasons. Employees regularly use computers and phones to assist customers and process orders. Some lifting may be required during the course of daily tasks. In addition to working on the sales floor, the employee may occasionally need to enter the warehouse environment to collect or verify customer orders. This requires adaptability to different work settings and a focus on maintaining excellent service standards across all environments.
